Gathering of Information
You always remain in control of the information you provide to West Toronto Counselling Network We do not collect personally identifying information about any individual except when they knowingly provide such information. For example, personal information is needed to follow up on checklists when they are submitted. You always have the option not to provide the information we request. If you choose not to provide the information we request, you can still visit the West Toronto Counselling Network Web site.

West Toronto Counselling Network also collects information on an aggregate level, such as how many visitors log on to our sites, the pages they access, the time spent on pages. It does this through the placement of a cookie, which gathers information through the placement of a file written to your computer’s hard drive and can contain information, such as a user identification code, browser type and referrer. This is obtained by reading the user’s browser (information provided by every user’s browser) and is collected to enhance future editorial content. We do not track what individual users read, but instead how well each page or content area performs overall. Acceptance of cookies is under your control and your browser can be set not to accept them.

E-Letters
West Toronto Counselling Network respects the privacy of its readers and shall not disclose, distribute or rent its e-mail subscriber newsletter list to any third party, nor shall it permit anyone else to do so. All subscribers must confirm their desire to receive the newsletter by returning a confirmation sent by the webserver, the receipt of which must be received to initiate receiving the e-letter. An opportunity to “unsubscribe” is included in every newsletter.

Security of Information
West Toronto Counselling Network has installed fire-walls and other security features to ensure the privacy of information sent to its servers.
